What are the differences between Standard and Professional licenses?
Professional licenses are required for: Remote Deskman —web— and fast deployment. -
Can I import my old data file to Deskman 2012?
Yes. Deskman 11 data and profiles can be imported into Deskman 2012. -
Do I need a network to make Deskman work?
No. Deskman does not require a network to be installed, or used. -
Can I set up a profile for each user?
No. Restrictions are applied system-wide. You can create exceptions for admins, or users. -
What happens if I forget the password?
Contact us for assistance, and we will help you recover access to your system. -
Can I remove restrictions easily if I need?
Yes. Enable Boss Mode, by pressing a hotkey, no need to reboot/log off. -
Do I need to reboot every time I make changes?
It depends on the changes made. Logging off is usually enough. -
Can I deploy Deskman on multiple computers easily?
Yes. Check the Deployment guide. -
What happens when the evaluation version expires?
Deskman will not apply restrictions at startup, but you will still be able to make changes to your system, or test Deskman a bit more. Or uninstall it safely. -
How does Safe Web Browsing work?
Safe Web Browsing is very easy to use: enable it to stop all web sites. Add keywords to allow specific sites, such as your company's website, etc. It works on all modern browsers.
