Check the Activate Desktop Lock box to enable the desktop lock. Check also the desired lock options:

Options

• Restrict changes to desktop icons: Make sure desktop icons are not modified, deleted.
• Remove unknown desktop icons: Automatically delete new desktop icons. Backup your desktop icons, first!
• Restore desktop icons position: Automatically move icons to their initial position. Option not available on 64bit systems, sorry.

Note that Restrict changes to desktop icons must be enabled to restore desktop icons position.

Icons

Once the Lock is enabled, the list of desktop icons is stored automatically, per user.

Press the Refresh button to reset the list of locked desktop icons:

1. Uncheck the Activate Desktop Lock box before pressing Refresh.
2. Set up your desktop.
3. Press Refresh.
4. Check the Activate Desktop Lock box.
5. Press Save.

Full Desktop Lock

To make sure the desktop lock is fully effective, Auto Arrange should be disabled:

• Right-click on the desktop and uncheck the Auto Arrange option, if necessary.

In addition, one of the following restrictions should be enabled:

• Disable the context menu: Main tab, Desktop section.
• Disable the right mouse button: Input tab, Mouse And Keys section.
