Web Interface
Configure Deskman from a web browser. The web interface allows you to perform some
administration tasks from a remote computer.
Remote Deskman
Please, note that while Deskman allows you to configure some settings from a web browser, using the main interface is still required.
- Open the setup window to configure web settings.
- Click on Tools | Web Interface to open the login page on the default browser.
Status
The status page shows general system information, and Deskman configuration status.
Click
to take a desktop picture.
- Profile: currently activated profile.
- Locked: yes for locked desktop, no for unlocked desktop.
Profiles
From the profiles page you can load and activate a profile.
- Select one of the available profiles from the list and press ok.
- On Windows Vista/Windows 7 Deskman will have to be elevated (in case UAC is enabled) to load and activate profiles.
- Fully activating a profile may require a log off, or reboot, to apply registry changes. Windows Registry changes usually require a log off to be activated.
Tools
Select an option and press ok.
- New Task (Run...): Executes a command.
- Log Off: Logs the current user off the system.
- Reboot: Closes Windows and restarts the computer.
- Shut Down: Shuts down the system and turns the power off (the hardware and the operating system must support the power off feature).
