Main Screen
The Control Center is the main application, where you are able to view the status of installed satellites and configure them remotely. Double-click on a satellite to obtain its status. Right-click to open the menu and perform different actions.
Use the satellite Wizard to find/add satellites. To open the Wizard press F3.

Satellite Status
- Host: The computer name.
- Type: Can be either satellite or folder.
- IP Address: The host IP Address.
- Status: Shows the current status of satellites: Unknown
, Connected
, Disconnected
, Folder
.
- OS: The running Operating System, including Service Pack version, if available.
- User: The name of the logged user, or <empty> if no user is logged or user is on the logon screen.
- Activity: User activity. Can be active, locked or idle, based on user mouse/keyboard activity.
- Up Time: Time during which Windows is running.
- Date/Time: Local date and time of satellite.
- Profile: Name of the profile in use.
- Version: Satellite version.
Main Menu
- File
- New...: Adds a new satellite, a new folder or a new profile.
- Open Profile: Opens the selected profile.
- Clear List : Removes all satellites and folders.
- Wizard: Opens the satellite Wizard, from where new satellites can be found, or manually added.
- Preferences: Opens the settings screen.
- Exit: Closes Desktop Orbiter.
- View
- Toolbar: Shows or hides the toolbar.
- Left Pane: Shows or hides the left pane.
- Language...: Selects an interface language from the list.
- View...: Selects a viewing style from the list.
- Columns...: Selects the visible columns.
- Sort...: Selects a sorting column from the list.
- Disable/Enable Folders: Enables or disables folders.

- Help: Shows this User's Guide, the splash screen, the license screen, etc.
Left Pane
Operations Log
Important internal messages, satellite connections, errors, warnings, etc., are printed on this window. The log can be set to be saved automatically to disk from the preferences window.
Check the log window for information on performed tasks, activated commands, contacted satellites, etc.
Status Bar
- Satellites available / Selected satellites / Maximum number of satellites allowed.
- Folders status.
- The rightmost icon indicates connections in progress, if any.
