Control Center connection preferences.

Ping

• Ping all on startup: Contacts all satellites automatically on startup.
• Auto-ping every ... mins: Contacts satellites recursively.

Ports

• The port numbers used to connect satellites to the Control Center.

Important Note: modifying ports is not recommended. If you change any port numbers you will have to update each satellite's configuration file manually, otherwise Desktop Orbiter will not be able to find them. If you really need to change ports, contact us for assistance.

Firewall Configuration

In order to let satellites send and receive data to the Control Center you need to open mainly one port: 51051. In addition, three other ports are needed for secondary protocols (Broadcast Ping, Beacon, Remote Desktop): 51052, 51053, 51054 .

Make sure your firewall allows connections between:

• orbiter.exe: Desktop Orbiter main application. Control Center.
• desksat.exe: Desktop Satellite service.
• desksatapp.exe: Desktop Satellite application.
