Authentication

Protecting Desktop Orbiter with password is highly recommended.

• Check the Password Required box and enter the password on the spaces provided.
• The password will be asked at startup, and when trying to restore Desktop Orbiter from the system tray icon.

For basic security reasons, it's recommended to check the Password Expires box. Thus, passwords will expire after a certain number of days. When that occurs, you will be prompted to change the password for a new one.

Confirmations

• Restrictions: When checked, confirmation will be required before applying restrictions.
• Operations: When checked, confirmation will be required before processing save or delete operations.
• Updating: When checked, confirmation will be required before sending updated data to satellites.
• Exit: When checked, confirmation will be required before closing Desktop Orbiter.
