Task Manager
The Task Manager included with Desktop Orbiter allows you to view running applications, processes and also control services and filter unwanted programs remotely.

Usage
- Select one satellite and click
in the toolbar. Or simply press Ctrl-T.
- From the Applications tab you may view running applications, take a snapshot of one of them or end the task.
- Using the right-click menu, applications can be also minimized and restored.
- From the Processes tab you may view running processes, or end them using the End Process button.
- To execute a new application, press the New Task.. button.
Note: elevated processes cannot be terminated on Windows Vista.
Services
Select a service and right-click to open the menu from where to start, stop, restart, or change statup type.
- Name: Description of the service.
- Service: Service name.
- Status: Provides the current service status. Blank if stopped, "started" if running.
- Startup Type: Defines the current startup type:
- Automatic: starts automatically when the system starts.
- Manual: the service must be started manually before it can be loaded by the operating system and made available for use.
- Disabled: it cannot be started automatically or manually.
Taking Application Snapshots
- Select a task and click the Snapshot button to take a picture of a particular application.
- If minimized, it will be restored to take the picture, and then minimized again automatically, thus you can also take pictures of hidden applications.
Filtering Programs
- Select an application or process and click Options / Filter Application. Or use the right-click menu.
- The Filtering window will be opened for you to add a new rule based on the selected application.
