Question: Do I need a network to make Reactor work?

Yes. Reactor is a web-based product. You need a network and a browser to use it.

Question: What if I forget the password?

Question: Reactor has suddenly switched to an unknown language. What's going on?

Probably, you have been using your evaluation copy for more than 30 days. Reactor switches to Klingon after the evaluation period is over. Purchase a license to go back to English.

Question: How easy is the installation process?

Incredibly easy. Reactor installs like a normal application.

Question: Reactor won't install in non-administrator accounts!

Correct. Reactor needs to be installed from an administrator account.

Question: Do you support Windows 7?

Yes. All versions since Windows XP are officially supported.

Question: Do you support 64bit systems?

Yes. Anfibia Reactor works on 32bit and 64bit systems.

Question: We still use Windows 2000. Will it work?

Although it is not officially supported, Anfibia Reactor works fine on Windows 2000 SP4. But you will need IE 6, or better yet, Firefox/Chrome to access Anfibia Reactor locally.

Question: Is it possible to use Reactor and other server programs on the same system?

Yes. Just use a different port for each one. To change the port, open the Reactor Agent tool.

Question: How easy is it to deploy on multiple servers?

After installing and configuring Anfibia Reactor, which is a matter of 10 minutes, you just need to export/import the data file using the Anfibia Reactor Agent. Check the documentation for more details, or contact us for assistance.

Question: Do I need to install extra files?

No, unless you want to check databases, in which case you'd need to have the appropriate software installed on your system. Check the User's Guide for details.

Question: Do I need a web browser?

Yes, a modern web browser is required. We recommend: Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari.

Question: Do I need to install something (like an agent) on remote sites?

No. Anfibia Reactor is able to check servers, connections and databases remotely.

Question: Do you have an iPhone/iPad application?

No iPhone/iPad application is required. Anfibia Reactor already looks great on iPhone/iPad. Try connecting to your Anfibia Reactor server from your iPhone/iPad and see for yourself.

Question: Would I be able to install and use it on my computer, which is not a server?

Yes, as long as your computer runs on Windows XP, at least. And you don't need a powerful machine to make it run: Anfibia Reactor works perfectly on netbooks due to its very low memory and cpu consumption.

Question: I want to test Anfibia Reactor, will I need to reboot my servers?

No. Download. Install. Open your web browser and start using it. To uninstall you will not need to reboot either.

Question: How many servers/devices can I monitor?

Anfibia Reactor is able to monitor multiple servers/connections and databases from a single instalation. Check the different license types available.

Question: How can I get a free license? Is it really "free"?

Try Anfibia Reactor. Install it on your server(s). Evaluate the full version for 30 days. When the evaluation period is over, you will be able to purchase a license or use it for free. The free version is limited to 2 servers and no databases: no other restrictions.

Question: I'd like to print charts and monitoring data? Is it possible?

Yes. Reactor is printer-friendly. Press Ctrl-P to print the current page. We recommend using Firefox to obtain the best results.

Question: Are Linux and/or Mac OS X supported?

Reactor is a Windows application. However, being a web-based solution, it can be accessed from any system with an internet connection, including Linux and Mac OS X.
