The Dashboard shows the status -and evolution- of servers and databases (monitors) in real time: auto-updated every 10 seconds.
This page is read-only: edit monitors from the Monitors page; set up alerts from the Settings page; visit the Computer page for CPU, Memory, Hard drives.
User Access
By default, access to the Dashboard does not require login, but only those with credentials have full access to Reactor.
To ask for login also when accessing the Dashboard:
- Check the Dashboard Requires Login box in Settings, under User Preferences
Dashboard Header
At the top of the screen, you will see total uptime, total monitors, and the total number of detected monitor alerts -and computer alerts- if any. To the right side of this section, you will see either the CPU & Memory graph or the Availability graph, both selectable from the Settings page.
Pause
If you want to focus your attention on a specific monitor, click the pause button to stop monitor rotation. Click again to continue.
CPU & Memory Graph
The CPU & Memory graph shows the evolution of CPU and memory over time, on the computer where Reactor is installed. For additional details, visit the Computer page.
Availability / Uptime Graph
Uptime indicates the availability of your servers. The result is based on the time every server has been up without any downtime, and the time it has been unaccessible. In essence, the higher the uptime, the better the availability.
Issues, Errors
Servers are contacted every minute. To be considered an error, there must be 3 consecutive failed connections, which are triggered when there is no response or an error response is returned from the server.
Monitor List
The main area of the screen is occupied with the monitored server list, which is automatically updated every 10 seconds. There are two different graphs, for each monitor:
- Sparklines: The bar graph shows the last 30 responses
- Performance Graphs: The line graph shows the performance of each server during a period of time
