
Status
The status page shows the different elements that are being monitored, which are automatically updated without refreshing the page. On a side note, make sure the Stay signed in option is enabled in your User Details. Otherwise your session will expire, eventually.
CPU, Memory, Battery Status
Shows CPU load, memory load, and battery load.
Errors or warnings are triggered when CPU / Memory overloads are detected, or when battery is very low:
- A log entry is created.
- Alerts are sent.
- Alerts can be enabled independently by clicking on CPU, Memory, Battery.
Partitions, Drive Info, S.M.A.R.T Test
Shows the different partitions and drives detected, along with drive information, like model, temperature, free space, and general status.
Click on the drive name to open the full SMART test results and other drive details.
Note that some information might not be available on:
- External drives (USB)
- SCSI drives
- RAID drives
- Virtual drives
Errors are triggered when SMART tests report errors, and warnings are triggered when SMART tests report warnings, the temperature is too high, or the free space is too low:
- A log entry is created.
- Alerts are sent.
- Alerts can be enabled independently by clicking on each hard drive.
Signs of a possible drive malfunction
- SMART warnings or errors
- Very high temperature -more than 50°C- day after day
- Random Windows recovery errors
- Random BSOD
- Strange HDD noises (click-clack)
Ping Server Connections
Shows the list of addresses to be contacted regularly in order to detect connection errors.
Note that servers are contacted every 30 seconds. If there are 3 consecutive errors, a log entry is created and Alerts are sent. Errors are triggered when there is no response or an error response is returned from the server.

Server Connection Settings
- Name : Name of the entry.
- Address : Internet address, see below for accepted protocols.
- Alerts: Email, Twitter and SMS alerts can be enabled independently.
Network Protocols
Multiple protocols can be monitored by using the proper prefix and format:
HTTP, HTTPS : Accepted formats (insecure and secure, respectively):
- http://<hostname> Example: http://www.anfibia-soft.com
- http://<hostname>/<directory>/<file>/ Example: http://www.anfibia-soft.com/products/reactor/faq.htm
- https://<hostname> Example: https://www.gmail.com
- https://<hostname>/<directory>/<file>/
FTP: Accepted formats (authenticated and anonymous, respectively):
- ftp://<user>:<password>@<hostname>/<directory>/<file>/ Example: ftp://john:mypassword@ftp.myftp.com/www/document.doc
- ftp://<hostname>/<directory>/<file>/ Example: ftp://ftp.tudelft.nl/pub/Linux/download.fedora.redhat.com/linux/
DNS: Accepted formats:
- dns:<hostname> Checks your current DNS server resolving <hostname>
- dns://<dns_server_ip> Checks the DNS server using its own IP
- dns://<dns_server_ip>/<hostname> Checks the DNS server resolving <hostname>
POP, POPS: Accepted formats (insecure and secure, respectively):
- pop://<user>:<password>@<hostname>
- pops://<user>:<password>@<hostname>:<port> Example: pops://john:mypassword@pop.mysite.com:995
Note that pops will use port 995, by default, if none is entered.
SMTP, SMTPS: Accepted formats (insecure and secure, respectively):
- smtp://<user>:<password>@<hostname>:<port>/
- smtps://<user>:<password>@<hostname>:<port>/ Example: smtps://john:mypassword@smtp.mysite.com:587
Note that smtps will use port 587, by default, if none is entered.
Ping (ICMP): Default protocol used, if no format (prefix) is used.
Response
- If the connection responds, the Replied tag will appear.
- If the response is slow, the Slow tag will appear.
- The response text -if any- will appear below the connection name.
Errors are triggered when there is no response from the remote address, or an error response is returned from the server:
Check, Query Databases
Shows the list of databases to be contacted -and queried, if desired- regularly in order to detect database errors, or misconfigurations.
- Click Add to add a new database.
- Click Edit to modify existing entries.
- Click Save to save changes.
Required Database Software
In order to access -local, or remote- Oracle and MySQL databases, you are required to install the appropriate package or driver for your Windows version:
Database Settings
- Name : Name of the entry.
- Database : Select a database type from the list: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Custom OLE DB Provider.
- Server: Server where the database is.
- Data source: Data source for the database.
- Username: Username to access the database.
- Password: Password to access the database.
- Query: SQL string or command to query the database.
- Alerts: Email, Twitter and SMS alerts can be enabled independently.
Response
- If the database responds, the Replied tag will appear.
- If a query is entered, the response text will appear below the database name.
On Error
Errors are triggered when there is no response from the database, or the query string returns errors.
Assistant: Export/Import Servers & Databases
Use the assistan to export your servers and databases to CSV. Edit your CSV file on Excel or any other compatible program.
- Export: Click the Export link.
- Import: Click the Browse button and select your CSV file. Then click Import and your servers and databases will be imported to Reactor.
