Watchman allows you to protect files from tampering in a reliable way. Add files by using drag and drop or by clicking New... Protected File from the main menu. Right-click with your mouse for additional options.

File Protection Status

• Unlocked: the file is not protected.
• Locked: the file is fully protected. Cannot be deleted, opened, or modified.
• Read-only: the file is protected from tampering. Cannot be deleted, or modified.

Error Messages

When a file cannot be protected, an error message appears next to the file status column. It will inform you why it couldn't be protected. Most of the time is due to the fact that the file is already in use or no longer exists.
