Predefined Profiles
Watchman includes a number of profiles ready for you to use. These predefined profiles are optimized for a particular purpose, defined by the profile name:
- Chat Clients: stops users from running common chat applications.
- Desktop Add-ons, Extras: stops users from running common desktop widgets, sidebars, etc.
- File Sharing, P2P Clients: stop users from running common file sharing -peer to peer- applications.
- Installing New Programs: aborts program installation.
- Internet Browsing: stops users from running common internet browsers.
- Keywords: Now you can use keywords.
- My User Profile: protects access to user's folders.
- Process Managers: blocks access to common task managers.
- Program Options: protects access to common application configuration windows, settings, options, etc.
- System Dialogs: closes system dialogs.
- System Folders: protects access to system folders.
- System Games: stops installed Microsoft games.
- System Internet Tools: stop internet application usage.
- System Multimedia: stop multimedia application usage.
- System Network Access: protects access to network-related folders and applets.
- System Settings: protects access to system settings, like the Control Panel, changing the Time/Date, etc.
- System Tools: stops access to system tools, like the registry editor, the task manager, etc.
- Uninstalling Software: abort software uninstallation.
- User Warning: used to warn users that their actions are monitored at startup.
- Watchman Security: recommended while using Watchman.
- Windows Update: stops users from updating the system.
Create your own profiles, or use the already available ones.
